Family

It’s been a while since I’ve done some scrapping; I’ve been doing the Christmas thing – cards and cookies and decorating and shopping… Time to get back into taking out my photos and supplies and creating a layout or two.

I’m trying to make a dent in my hoard and so I’ve dug into my pattern papers and found this sheet from the Nature Walk collection by 7 Dots. I think it provides a perfect rustic background for this photo of the grandchildren striking a pose at the Christmas tree farm.
I’m also determined to lighten the pile of chipboard; I found this one that scrappy friend Rae Moses gave me some time ago. I wanted to be able to reassemble the pieces after altering the “chain” part with rust paste, so I simply colored the outer and inner parts with black ink.
The background layers are from a few Kaisercraft papers and a few remnants of sticker sheets from 7 Gypsies.
I embellished the corner with a Finnabair washer and a tangle of thread.
The background splatters are part of the paper pattern. The title is from a Heidi Swapp sticker collection.

As always, I want to thank you for peeking into my blog; your visits mean a lot to me.
