I love the Bold
and Beautiful collection from 49 and Market that came in the June Très Jolie
kit; it’s filled with soft grays and pinks and lavenders, perfect for a variety
of styles.
I chose to use “The
Lovely” to scrap these photos taken by my daughter-in-law last December.
We’ve had a series of late winters here in the Northeast. Last year’s hunt for a Christmas tree was done in lightweight jackets and rubber boots, rather than the usual cold weather gear. The kids found a puddle that begged to be jumped into.
These shots of Sophia are so filled with joy that I just had to scrap them…

I decided to
borrow a few things from the June Cards, Tags and More kit, starting with a
stamp and ink to create a little more texture around the page. I think these
images blended in perfectly with the overall design of the paper.
I also borrowed
the stencil to create even more texture with the chalk ink that came in the
main kit.
I used another
sheet of paper to cut out matting for my pictures and glued them to bits of
chipboard, then to the photos. I added another layer of chipboard under each
piece and then glued them to a strip of packaging to add even more dimension.
Once the photos
were adhered to the paper, I started adding some of the beautiful 49 and Market
flowers that came in the kit.
To celebrate the
first anniversary of the Très Jolie Kit Club, Kim added a surprise bonus to our
kits: a pad from Lemon Craft, filled with green patterned papers to die cut and
punch and a lot of leafy images to cut out by hand. I’ve used several of these
leaves and vines to embellish my flower clusters.
I’ve place a few
of the laser cut shapes to fill in the “holes” around the photos.
Another
“borrowing” – this time from the Mixed Media kit – using a few of the mini
roses to match my purple flower and those awesome yellow boots…
And to finish it
off – a polymer bird by Scrapberry’s and the title: part of the beautiful
chipboard set by 49 and Market.
