A Tag Album and a Couple of Cards

The March Cards,Tags and More Kit from Tres Jolie, featuring 49 & Market’s Vintage Artistry collection and Tres Jolie’s own chipboard embellishments, is jam packed with all you need to make a Spring-themed tag album with plenty left over for quite a few cards for any occasion.

The patterns of “B” sides of the paper are more solid; I’ve cut them to fit the tags and then cut a top sheet ¼” smaller all around. I’ve also used some of the sentiments on one of the cutout sheets, backed with scraps here and there…

The chipboard frame is a piece left over from the Scrapbook Kit, adorned with die cut leaves and a butterfly from the paper pack, along with a flower from the kit. I dressed up the center from a few rub-ons from the February Kit.

The back of the first tag is decorated with a die cut butterfly and a few rub-on sentiments.

For the second tag, I decided to layer a few of the die cuts and added a rub-on sentiment.

Here’s another of the window frames from the Scrapbook Kit. Behind it, you can see a textured pattern that I created with the stencil (also from the Scrapbook Kit) and embellishment mousse.

I used the same stencil and embellishment mousse on this tag and when it had set, added a few die cut vines and another of the small flowers.

The Kit comes with a pair of chipboard flowers. I colored this one with Distress Oxide ink and then covered it all with Glossy Accents. I added a few Art Pebbles to match the shine.

For the fourth tag, I fussy cut a flower cluster from a scrap and added another scrap with a torn edge underneath. Again, I backed one of the sentiments and glued it all down.

I usually leave the back of my albums plain to avoid the wear and tear. I do want to include a closeup of the way that I’ve bound this tag album with a ring and a beautiful assortment of fibers and trims.

I also made a few greeting cards. (And I still have a lot of paper and embellishments for plenty more!)

The trim down the side is actually from one of the sheets of die cuts from the paper pack, as are the flowers and leaves. The sentiment was cut from the set of Dress My Craft dies…

And here’s an all occasion card, featuring several layers of papers and a sentiment matted with banners and trimmed with adhesive pearls.
