Sweet Tag for the Very Valentine Tag Swap

A very sweet lady – Donna Anderson – runs a tag swap on Scrapbook.com. I signed up for the January Swap and I’m so glad that I did; yesterday I received the tag made by my partner, Carri Lett and it is simply gorgeous. (Here’s a link if you want to take a peek https://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/981943/view/6072251.html )

And here’s the tag that I made for Carri…

I was in a layering mood and the Love Story collection from Blue Fern Studios was perfect for this design, with the rich color of the Twenty-One sheet making a perfect background for the cutouts from the two other sheets. I taped the piece with the frame image on three sides to make a pocket for several calling cards and fastened a bit of lace to the edge.
The Prima resin frame was treated with Art Alchemy wax and glued to the front of the pocket. Next, I used a bit of foam tape to place the cherub in the center.
I added some layers of lace on the top and the bottom and the “sweet” cutout to the bottom of the pocket.
And next, for a perfect finish, I added a few hearts from Renae Harrison’s Beautiful Boards collection.
