Merry & Bright

This very quick and easy tag is based on the sketch for December’s Très Jolie Cards, Tags and More challenge.

I selected a sheet from the Tim Holtz 8 x 8 Christmas Paper Pad and cut a piece to match a thickboard tag from my stash. After inking all of the edges, I adhered the “B” side to the tag with Beacon 3-in-1 Glue.

I cut another tag from the same sheet, trimmed 5/8” down the side and inked it all around. Before gluing it down, I cut a doily to size and placed it between the layers so that it would sit off the edge.

I selected a few pieces of ephemera and backed them with packaging to give them stability and dimension. The larger piece was attached to the side of the tag.

I gave the poinsettias a healthy dose of Lindy’s mist and dried them with my heat tool. I tucked the remaining piece of ephemera under the cluster.

I altered the metal title piece with metallic wax so that it would blend in better with the flowers.

I selected a few pieces of trim to complete my tag…

And that was it! Like I said – a very quick and easy tag: a perfect project for a lazy afternoon…
