There's
a twist on this month's Swirlydoos Round Robin. Kim has declared this to be a
Not So Round Robin featuring ATCs. The other twist is that there is a different
category each week and we can create and post any week or every week, whatever
we choose.
I
don't know why, but I haven't made an ATC (Artist Trading Card) in a long time.
I started working on them when I was still fairly new to scrapping as a way to
learn to create a design on a very small space and I fell in love with the idea
of playing with only a few elements and saying "done".
This
week, the category is "Vintage".
I've
used scraps from previous kits - papers from Prima's Tales of You and Me and
Vintage Emporium - and odds and ends
from my embellishments.
My
first design features a pretty kitty that I found on Pinterest, some Finn
stars, a bit of Dresden trim and images from a Finn stamp set.
Next
is a lovely lady from a Gecko Galz download, doesn't she look just like a
Countess? All she needs is a strip of bling and a mini rose to complete her
bored existence. Maybe someone will take up her offer and put a smile on her
face!
My
third design was so easy. I wanted to use this word strip from one of the
Vintage Emporium scraps and this image certainly fits the bill. A scrap of
lace, a bit of flower and a large bit of Bo Bunny bling and I was done.
This
was one of four vintage advertising images from Pinterest. I choose
"Sweety Pie" because I couldn't resist using this mouse that was part
of the kitty set. I selected a couple of pieces of Vintage Emporium ephemera as
embellishments and added Prima Microbeads to create a bit of interest.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a look...
