Here
are some more entries in the Not So Round Robin Challenge that Kim is hosting
for Swirlydoos.
For
week #2, the category is "Steampunk".
I've
used scraps from different manufacturers - 7 Dots, Graphic 45, Prima and
Creative Embellishments chipboards that were given to me by Maggi Harding.
First
is a lovely Creative Embellishments mermaid. She's a bit pale from her life
under the sea, but her pretty dress (Prima Metallique Acrylic in Emerald Green)
certainly makes up for that. But oh my! her gears have more that a touch of
rust (Prima Rust Effects Kit) and her lovely blonde locks seem to be mixed with
seaweed.
I've
owned this stamp (Graphic 45's Time Flies set by Hampton Arts) for years. I
used it once and it's been collecting dust ever since. Her lovely hairdo is
made of Creative Embellishments Mini Gears all rusted up mixed in with a few
metal gears from my stash. The background was made with another dusted-off
stamp (Tim Holtz's Steampunk) and a bit of Washi Tape.
Speaking
of Tim Holtz stamps - here's another image that I haven't used in a long while
- this on from the Pen and Pencil set. More Washi Tape and more metals from my
stash over a piece of G45's Steampunk Debutante make up the background. A
"thank you" to Cindy Brown for the ArtC key to my gentleman's
headgear..
Here's
a beautiful metal butterfly purchased through EBay, topped with a Prima
Hardware Findings bulb and seated on a couple of tags from the Steampunk
Debutante by Graphic 45. A Prima brad in the corner finishes my fourth entry.
These are really cool!
