Bad Hair Day - Anatomy of a Layout with the "Spring Grunge" Kit from Swirlydoos

This picture of a six-year-old me is wrong in so many ways. I'm facing the sun and either I'm squinting or my eyes are shut. The shadows on my face are so sharp that my nose and mouth are distorted. Most of all (and this has nothing to do with the sun), there is my hair. Now, I was born with baby-fine, straight hair and it has stayed this way all of my life. Back in the day, the solution for this was the Tonette Children's Home Permanent, which left my hair so very, very frizzy for the first few weeks.

I was reminded of this photo a few weeks ago when I was at a gathering of scrappy friends and somehow the Tonette Permanent came up in conversation. I mentioned that I had this photo and that someday I was going to scrap it. I've taken advantage of the pinks and grays and bits of blue (that match my dress) to create a setting for my not-so-lovely, but still perfectly girly photo.
