Autumn Sunset: A Trio of Tags

I’ve used the October Cards, Tags and More Kit from Très Jolie, along with some scraps from the Main Kit and some odds and ends from my stash to create a few tags.

First up: “Shine On”…

 

I selected a sheet from the Autumn Sunset pad and cut it to size. After adhering my paper to a chipboard tag and inking the edges, I applied Paper Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz stencil and allowed it to dry. The tag was given a bit of sheen with a few blasts of Color Bloom mist.

I used cut-aparts from the paper pad and some die cut tags, along with a word strip from the Main Kit to create layers, inking the edges and tying bits of jute through the tags before gluing them down.

A bit of lace from my stash, a bloom from the kit and a final length of jute on top and I was done!

My second: “Wings”…

Well, I just HAD to use that fox somewhere and so I fussy cut the entire image from the bottom corner of one of the papers.

Meanwhile, I cut the plaid sheet to size and the print sheet ¼” smaller. After inking the edges, I adhered the pieces to another chipboard tag, using a piece of packaging between the layers to give it some depth.

 I had used one of the chipboard vines from the kit on a layout earlier this month; I attached part of the remaining one (already inked) to the side. The fox and pumpkin piece was then glued to some packaging and then to the tag.
 
I finished my piece with a few fussy cut butterflies, a title word from the Quotes sheet and a bit of seam binding that I colored with watered-down chalk ink.

My third: “Violet”…

The focal point of this tag is a sweet vintage image from the Craft O’Clock die cut sheet that I attached to a molded frame from my stash. I backed this with a few layers of the cut-aparts and a strip of lace before adding a few flowers from the kit.

The title piece itself was one of the cut-aparts; I think it’s a perfect way to embellish this beautiful little girl.
