This month’s
Mediums Kit from Très Jolie contained a chipboard frame album, a package of
chipboard words, a package of flowers and a ton of mediums to play with.
The flowers put
me in mind of a few photos that my daughter-in-law took ten years ago when Miss
S. was just a few months old. She had been experimenting with some of the
features on her new camera and came up with a wonderful photo effect.
I selected three
of the photos and decided to turn the frame album into a wall hanging.
Using the
stencil that came in the kit, I applied the Mousse Paste all around the “frames”
to create a brick pattern.
Once this was
set, I applied the Twinkling H2O watercolor all around, drying with my heat
tool as I went along.
I already used
some of the chipboard words on several layouts this month; I deliberately put
these aside for this project. I treated the words with the Glimmer Paste. I
thought the results were a bit too bright to match the rest of my project, so I
toned them down with more of the Twinks.
I wanted to
print out my photos a little bigger than the frames would allow, so I layered
some packaging under the images and glued them down.
And now for the
embellishing… First, the words were glued down above the photos. Next, I dusted
off my glue gun and used hot glue to fasten the flowers down.
